Understanding Autism in Georgia

  • Prevalence: Approximately 1 in 40 (2.5%) 8-year-old children in Georgia are identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). CDC


  • Early Diagnosis: 47% of children with ASD receive a comprehensive developmental evaluation by the age of 3. CDC


  • Racial Disparities: Black children are 1.5 times more likely to be identified with ASD compared to White children. CDC

GAAP Initiatives
