To address the gaps in services for children and adults with specialized support needs, including those with neurodevelopmental disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are dedicated to rigorous research and the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of life.
A Georgia where individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders are fully included in all aspects of society, experiencing opportunities in employment, education, and social engagement.
The Georgia Autism Alliance Project was founded in 2023 by Katrina Wilburn-Beckhom, who, after over 30 years of experience working with families, school systems, and various provider agencies, recognized the persistent barriers to services for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In response, Katrina and a group of dedicated community members established this local organization with a mission to raise expectations and expand opportunities for individuals impacted by Autism throughout their lifespan.
We are proud to collaborate with a diverse range of local organizations and individuals to provide exceptional support to our target audience. From self-advocates to community service providers, our partners help us extend our reach and amplify our impact within the community.
Our Board of Trustees is made up of dedicated volunteers including Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Special Educators, Researchers, Parents, and passionate advocates, all of whom are committed to supporting the ASD/neurodivergent community throughout Georgia.
